About me?
I’ve been obsessed with desk setups for as long as I can remember. I just didn’t have the budget to prove it at first. While I have been a huge geek for such setups and everything ergonomic, the first picture is my actual workspace for 4.5 years of university and my first year on the job.
While scrolling through the gallery, I found this gem from 2018-ish and thought, why not share it? A merit-based student scholarship laptop, with a COD (Call of Duty) skin slapped on it - I did what I could afford 😅, an old sofa as my chair, a cushion for a mouse pad, and the table bottom as the footrest.
It was far from ideal - it used to hurt my back, and working like this wasn’t exactly productive, but, as they say… you gotta do what you gotta do. Looking at it now, I can’t help but feel grateful for how things have turned out. Not just for the desk setup but for the journey itself. Also, that's just my baby cousin on the side who looks like he's been possessed by a ghost (not the COD one - see what I did there?).
The GIF is something we shot for PosterMyWall's social media but later decided not to post it because of a few reflection and audio issues, but my guy, Ali, created this gem out of the BTS clips. 😭😂
Scientists say when the apocalypse comes, only two things will survive: Cockroaches and my love for memes.
Outside of work, I'm a tech/anime/gamer geek who's always been curious about history, economics, entrepreneurship, geopolitics, religions, and pretty much everything that I haven't been able to fully grasp. In the past, I have had a couple of attempts at a few tech ventures of my own that didn't take off as such but left me with loads of learnings and exposure.
Product Communities
Product Soch is Pakistan’s homegrown product management community, built for PMs who are tired of figuring things out alone. We host workshops, talks, and networking sessions where we discuss everything from making data-backed decisions to surviving stakeholder battles without losing your sanity.
As the Lahore Chapter Lead, I’ve been responsible for bringing together some of the brightest (and funniest) product minds in the city. My job? Make sure every session is actually useful, not just another boring "thought leadership" talk that makes you regret showing up. Whether it’s dissecting real-world case studies, debating product strategy over chai, or just creating a space where PMs can vent about their OKRs, I’m here for it.
ADPList is a global community of Product Mentors and Learners - that has grown to 13,000+ Mentors who have mentored for more than 10 million minutes in about 141 countries across the globe.
I volunteered at ADPList as Venture Initiative Ambassador in the early days of the platform and was one of the only two Pakistanis to represent Pakistan on the ADPList team.
I organized and co-hosted the first-ever Pakistan-based ADPList design session in collaboration with Hussain Dewani from Decathlon - Hong Kong. The local industry design leaders educated the participants about different aspects of UX design.
Startups & stories
My love for digital products and entrepreneurship led me to the initiation of multiple ventures during my years as a Student at UCP (The University of Central Punjab). All of them were a tale to be told and heartfelt experiences full of learning and memories that I cherish to date. Below are 2 of the most prominent ones to give you an idea.
An online platform that offers comprehensive and up-to-date information, guides, and news about laptops.
Being passionate about solving a certain problem, I led a team of two friends to become part of the 4th cohort of Takhleeq. Here's a small introductory video from the good old days. We all wore multiple hats, with me taking up the responsibilities as a Product Manager, Product Designer, and SEO Analyst.
We spent 6 months grinding, learning, networking, and learning (yes again, since there was a lot of it, especially from our own mistakes). What became of the LapTerra? Are all 3 of us still friends or did it end up in a dispute? Okay no, I'm just kidding. Well, let's have a conversation and I'll share with you the complete tale of Adventures of Lapterra (okay I'll stop now).
A blog uniting tech enthusiasts, hardcore gamers, and entertainment geeks on a single platform
Divulgy, still close to my heart, was co-founded with a close friend and we ran the blog for about a year and a half. We got our monetization license from Google AdSense in JUST 3 DAYS after applying, something that's usually unheard of. Wanna hear how we did that or why we came up with the name 'Divulgy'? Let's chatter over a coffee (I'll take tea though. Not a coffee enthusiast, yet).
Learning & stuff
Learning never stops. There's a high chance I'm still reading through a blog, listening to Lenn'ys recent podcast, or doing another online course by the time you're reading this. Follwoing are a few ones that I went through in the early days of my career.
Back in the days
During University, I was a part of various student clubs and societies like TEC (The Entrepreneurship Club), TEDxUCP, Blood Donor Society, etc. I led teams of up to +60 students at ICC-UCPMUN.
I was one of the founding members of ICC-UCPMUN and rose to the rank of Vice President by the time I graduated. Over the first four editions of UCPMUN, we've welcomed +1k Delegates and Chairs from around the world including countries like USA, Germany, Jordan, Türkiye, Egypt, Romania, Netherlands, and Pakistan.
